Our Client has a requirement for a Health and Safety Advisor (Night Shifts), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Runcorn.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is working Night Shifts, 12 hours Mon-Thurs. 

Outside IR35 contract.

Role Purpose:

The H&S Advisor will support the delivery of the business and client project H&S requirements while providing on site H&S advice and support to the project team.

Job Role Responsibilities:

Assist the project management teams in the implementation of  Project H&S requirements and objectives
Support and advise Project delivery teams on planning and implementation of the H&S Management system, strategy and objectives
Provide H&S support and advice to the projects to ensure a structured risk based approach
Conduct site audits and inspections and ensure these are also undertaken by the project management team and supervision
Liaise with customer H&S representatives and attend meetings/forums as required
Ensure, assist and support the investigation of accidents, incidents and near miss events to determine route causes and preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence
Assist (where required) with any client or external H&S audits

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

Good personal planning and organisation skills
Proven track record of influencing and motivating teams to meet and exceed objectives
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
Excellent HSE legal knowledge and practical application
Competent in incident investigation and root cause analysis
Professional, personable and results focussed
High level of employee focus, business pragmatism and understanding
Team player who knows how to build and sustain relationships
Customer focussed
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
Member of IOSH.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:

NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Additional relevant skills and qualifications in any technical area
Experience in highly regulated industries e.g. oil & gas, pharma, process, nuclear etc
