**Health and Safety Coordinator** is sought for a recycling facility in
**Runcorn, Cheshire**. This subsidiary (of an International premium manufacturer of polymer solutions with a multi-billion Euro turnover) is focused on growing the circular economy and they see innovation within PVC recycling as pivotal to their global sustainability strategy. By recycling post-consumer PVC windows and doors, it minimises waste costs whilst realising the future value of recycled PVC and reducing the impact on landfill.
**The Role**:

- You will be:

- Ensuring that all Health and Safety standards and procedures are correct and aligned with appropriate requirements;- Assisting with all areas of H&S across the site and in alignment with the REHAU Group requirements, supporting the wider H&S Team, with a focus on maintaining compliance with all legislation and promoting a positive H&S culture;- Collating and analysing audit, inspection, accident, incident and near miss data along with other key H&S performance data;- Assisting in the development and monitoring of safe systems of work, tasks risk assessments and other key H&S documentation;- Assessing the working conditions;- Coordinating in the induction of new staff, on-boarding of new suppliers and contractors and completion of external pre-qualification documentation where required.**The Health & Safety Co-ordinator will have**:

- An advanced knowledge of overarching H&S legislation and a willingness to research industry best practice and innovative ways of working towards compliance with that legislation;- A great attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement;- Passionate about health and safety;- Excellent ICT and communication skills;- Full driving license and own vehicle;- Experience working with a similar role (manufacturing/waste management industry);- Relevant H&S training such as IOSH, NEBOSH, familiarity with ISO 45 001 and ISO 14 0001;- WAMITAB qualified (advantageous but not essential);- Previous experience in a dedicated H&S role (preferred);- Solid understanding of Waste Regulation Regulations and terminology;- Experience of implementing H&S controls within manufacturing in the waste management industry (desirable).**Benefits**- Annual assessment process - opportunity of a one off performance recognition payment and or basic wage increase- Hybrid working
