What you’ll be doing…

·Develop and implement an efficient warehouse layout to maximize utilization. ·Conduct regular reviews and updates of the warehouse layout and capacity based on changing business needs and inventory levels. ·Use warehouse management software and tools to plan and visualize layout designs, incorporating capacity forecasts. ·Communicate layout and capacity changes and updates to relevant stakeholders and ensure proper implementation with plan/do/review attitude. ·Work closely with the safety team to ensure all layouts and capacity plans comply with health and safety regulations. ·Plan and execute layout and capacity adjustments, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse operations. When disruptions are unavoidable, communicate effectively with all stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain operational efficiency. ·Monitor progress, manage timelines, and report on outcomes to senior management. ·Identify and mitigate risks associated with layout changes, capacity planning, and warehouse operations. ·Regularly present information to operational teams on historic and forward view information to ensure upcoming challenges are visible and discussed. ·Integrate capacity planning into layout design to optimize warehouse space based on current and forecasted inventory levels. ·Develop strategies to balance layout efficiency with capacity needs, ensuring warehouse space is utilized effectively. ·Analyse capacity data and trends to make informed decisions about layout and space utilization.

Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the warehouse layout.

·Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency, capacity utilisation, and productivity.

·Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure optimal layout, capacity and organization. ·Maintain accurate records of warehouse layouts, capacity utilization, and inventory locations. ·Prepare and present reports on warehouse layout performance, including space utilization metrics and efficiency improvements. ·Analyse data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions for layout adjustments.

Technical and analytical skills

·Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes. ·Proficiency in using WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). ·Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various departments and stakeholders. ·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. ·Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
