ABOUT THE ROLE

As Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in being the first positive interaction that all talent has within the hotel. This includes having an in-depth knowledge of the hotel and people profession. The Human Resources Officer at W Edinburgh will assist with the employee lifecycle with a key focus in coordinating the recruitment of all talent across all departments. You will work alongside department leaders to understand the candidate profiles they are looking for, and in collaboration with the Talent Resources team you will identify the best ways to recruit top talent into the business. Furthermore, you will work partner with the other members of the Talent Resources team to deliver on payroll, learning and development, engagement and employee relations.

As Human Resources Officer, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Recruitment is a key focus for this role - it's vital to attract the best talent on the market
  • Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's voice is present in all interactions with guests and talent
  • Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to instil a positive employee culture and manage retention
  • Establish relationships with local and national job boards, recruiters, agencies and internal recruitment partners
  • Assist in developing creative ways to attract talent to the business
  • Maintain candidate and employee records securely and accurately, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and employment laws.
  • Ensure managers are knowledgeable about the Company's recruitment process and provide training where necessary
  • Involvement in all stages of the recruitment cycle, including identifying vacancies, posting roles to job boards, screening CVs, conducting interviews, issuing contracts, and hiring successful applicants into the relevant systems
  • Identify top talent within the hotel for promotion
  • Assist in all other aspects of the Talent Resources function, including payroll, training, employee engagement and employee relations.
  • Maintain accurate digital records for all aspects of the Talent Resource's function
  • Create and manage new employee personnel files with all relevant hiring documents
  • Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from talent and management regarding company and Talent Resources programs, policies and guidelines
  • Inform Talent Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
