The Faculty of Philosophy is seeking to appoint an experienced Programme Administrator to join the Institute for Ethics in AI in the Faculty of Philosophy.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of our innovative and dynamic Fellowship Programme. The role will be varied and interesting, and you will be required to respond quickly and flexibly to the needs of the Programme, the Institute and the Faculty of Philosophy. You will have significant independent responsibility and will be expected to handle a variety of complex matters as and when they arise. You will work closely with a wide range of people from both within the University and from outside institutions, business and industry.

As well as supporting the Programme, you will also be required to provide Executive Assistant support to the Director of Research and the Institute's Distinguished Senior Scientist.

We are looking for someone with strong organizational and communication skills and with the proven ability to build and maintain good working relationships. Significant experience as an administrator or in a similar role in a large complex organization will be essential as will be the ability to work independently and flexibly. Previous experience of dealing with budgets is also essential.
