This is an exciting opportunity to join Glasgow's Experimental MRI Centre (GEMRIC), which brings together teams of talented researchers (biologists, physicists, clinicians) working at the forefront of translational imaging research. This unique position offers the possibility to be a part of multiple research projects, covering a wide range of scientific research (e.g. neuroscience, cancer, cardiac, bioengineering, medical physics).

The post holder will be responsible for comprehensive centre management and provide MRI physics expertise towards a state-of-the-art preclinical imaging platform for researchers within or outside the University of Glasgow. This will be achieved with guidance from GEMRIC's research committee, in collaboration with specialised animal imaging technicians, and with the support the vibrant UoG MR Physics and Imaging community.

This will involve the planning/design/delivery and safe operation of MRI experiments, as well as maintaining GEMRIC's leading position in the field of pre-clinical imaging technology (i.e. maintenance, quality checks, integration of novel MRI sequences and hardware).
