About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Technologist-Medical Physics Specialist to join our Medical Equipment Management Service team at NHS Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full life-cycle of medical equipment devices, ensuring they are fully functional and accurate for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of clinical engineer technologists to complete over 60,000 jobs per year.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to healthcare staff on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical equipment management.
Requirements
  • Engineering or Technology knowledge to SCQF Level 9.
  • Experience of the service, repair, and fault-finding of medical equipment.
  • Understanding of the clinical, scientific, and engineering principles of medical equipment.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
