Job Summary:

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Engineer Practitioner to join our Medical Equipment Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and effective management of medical equipment across our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life-cycle of medical equipment devices, including commissioning, calibration, performance assurance, and repair.
  • Work with a wide range of medical devices, including high and medium risk equipment.
  • Undertake a 2-year competency-based training program to develop skills in medical equipment management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Technology knowledge to SCQF Level 9.
  • Experience in the service, repair, and fault finding of medical equipment.
  • Understanding of clinical, scientific, and engineering principles of medical equipment.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
