Delivering business growth in Prestige to meet our 2030 ambition is a major transformation for BSI. It will require new skills and leadership across all parts of our business from local markets to Global Brand Houses and Commercial Excellence. This role will be required to show thought leadership and expertise in building Prestige brands in Key Cities while influencing at senior levels within the organization.

The Prestige Commercial Director is an operational role, responsible for building our commercial Prestige business and capabilities in the identified key cities in collaboration with the marketing and commercial leads in the markets and Global Brand Houses. It has two direct reports in the role of Prestige Commercial Manager and Prestige Capability Manager to support with these responsibilities.

The role is a key member of the Scotch & Irish and Prestige Brand House and owns the Prestige Commercial agenda. This includes validating the roadmap for the key city roll out strategy, advising the markets on building their Prestige teams and customer management, the classification of stage of development for each city, developing a global Prestige capability training program for the market commercial and advocacy teams and the setting and reporting of customer and commercial KPIs.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Develop and own the roadmap for BSI's Prestige commercialisation journey:

    1. Commission a thorough (external) market readiness assessment of cities in the "go live" queue annually, focused on resources, capabilities, planning and market execution.
    2. Define 3 year action plan for each city. Where are we today vs the 3 phases of development: Start Up / Accelerate / Mature?
    3. Support markets to identify the customer prioritization in each city: on trade, off trade, 3rd space and e-com.
    1. Champion "One view of the truth" for global commercialisation and build a community that enables a kaizen approach in support of the strategic ambition
  2. Design and roll out a luxury capability programme our priority key cities:
    1. Identify and brief an agency partner to build one global programme to cover luxury commercial capability building, encompassing luxury landscape, customer account management, luxury influence, experiential, advocacy, and PR. Work in collaboration with Talent COE and HR to ensure this capability program follows global standards
  3. Global Customers:
    1. Identify and build long term partnerships with a selection of global customers which enable us to create brand experiences that immerse luxury consumers into our prestige portfolio.
  4. Connect and inspire the Brand Ambassador community:
    1. Deliver the training, tools, and support that our BAs require in the Key Cities. This is not individual brand programmes (that is owned by the BHs) but the luxury basics that are required for all brands.
    2. Connect the BA community: act as a single point of contact bringing that community together to share best practices, create learning opportunities & project collaborations Eg Community Calls and BA Summit.
    3. Partner with GBH Advocacy leads to integrate Prestige key learnings into development of Advocacy programming.
Qualifications
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior commercial leaders.
  • Understanding of key success factors required in executing luxury brands. Skilled at developing training curriculum and conducting global capability building.
  • Willingness to travel to all global markets and accounts. Up to 30%
  • Experience in engaging and influencing luxury on-trade accounts.
  • Significant On-premise channel experience and expertise within the spirits industry
  • Expert in advocacy and the role of Brand Ambassadors, especially Prestige.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Strategic thinking skills and ability to translate insights into action.
  • Experience implementing programs across diverse cultural markets.
