Responsible for developing strategies, managing programmes and executing on initiatives that improve engagement, deliver cultural and behavioural change and ensure the growth and development of talent. The scope of the role extends to activities including but not limited to retention, recognition, inclusion and wellbeing, leadership and career development, graduate and apprentice schemes.

The role will be supported by a Talent Development Partner focused on the delivery and execution of activities to grow and upskill new and existing talent, and a Talent Engagement Assistant to support and coordinate activity and will work closely with our Internal Communications Manager.

Responsibilities

Talent and Career Development

Design and execute on tailored senior leadership development interventions, including provision of coaching, mentoring, and leadership events.

Own and mature the leadership model, and ensure it is embedded in development activities

Ensure the provision of graduate, internship and apprenticeship programs globally designed at creating entry level talent opportunities, growing new talent and upskill existing talent.

Drive and own the updating, promotion and embedding of the Technical Career Framework and career pathways, and methods to promote internal mobility.

Develop programmes to optimise the potential of top talent. With the support of the Talent Development Partner, drive Talent and Succession planning within the business, developing programmes to optimise the potential of top talent and guidance to managers to support personal development planning and delivery.

Enable next role talent development programmes and career opportunity matching.

Ownership of Bell's learning platforms, currently Udemy and Kallidus and skills database.

Ensure oversight of training budget, reporting and tracking of spend

Talent Engagement, Culture and Inclusion

Develop and deliver mechanisms to listen to employees including engagement and pulse surveys and employee forum, analysing data and feedback to inform and initiate organisational actions.

Design and ensure the delivery of events, communications and other interventions that promote desired culture, values and inclusion.

Plan and design interventions designed to foster inclusivity, social connection and collaboration.

Support/facilitate DEI strategy and roadmap. Champion, lead and support initiatives.

Provide insights on the gender pay disparity, along with an analysis of diversity-related metrics within the organization.

Own and mature 'Living Our Values' working closely with HR and business leaders

Develop and promote wellbeing initiatives including mental health first aid.

Own Reward Gateway engagement platform or alternatives particularly architecture, design and purpose.

Ensure employee benefits packages in all locations remains relevant and geared to retaining and attracting talent.

Ensure and drive forward optimal onboarding experience for new employees

Working closely with the HRD, ensure consistent representation of the employer brand across all internal communications, recruitment marketing, and throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Ownership of volunteering and CSR initiatives, programmes and ESG reporting.

Qualifications

Proven experience in talent management, development, and engagement within a dynamic business environment.

Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Ability to balance strategy and operational priorities, ensuring delivery directly and indirectly, through HR colleagues and business leaders.

Broad understanding of range of L&D interventions and suitability up to and including leadership levels

Strong capabilities including career development, building and supporting career pathways, including person/opportunity matching

Ideally, track record of delivering successful apprenticeship and grad programmes or strong knowledge of requirements for a successful programme.

Forward thinking, strategic, knows best practice and trends, delivery and outcome oriented

Up to date with latest employee engagement management principles, trends and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with key stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with a commercial focus, capable of making data-driven decisions.

Technologically savvy. Comfortable with using collaboration tools (Teams), MS apps and using HR platforms.

Able to work effectively in a virtual/hybrid environment. Prepared to travel for appropriate in-person meetings/events.
