POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Group Head of People. This is a full-time, office-based role within a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

In this capacity, you will manage the operational execution of comprehensive HR services, which include recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.

You will act as a strategic partner with a commitment to transformation and excellence in the people agenda, possessing a deep understanding of the business beyond the HR function.

This role is crucial to the group and executive team, where you will leverage your insights and expertise to advise, inspire, influence, and implement both business and people objectives that align with the overall strategy. You will identify initiatives that foster business growth and performance.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is eager to contribute to a rapidly expanding organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the People function across the group.
  • Advise the executive team on all HR matters, including recruitment, learning and development, employment law, policy, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement the company's people strategy and diversity & inclusion initiatives, consistently promoting inclusivity, well-being, and engagement.
  • Draft employment contracts and necessary amendments.
  • Establish internal standards for job descriptions, handbooks, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Create a cohesive set of effective employment and internal policies.
  • Deliver learning and development activities aligned with strategic goals and manage training programs.
  • Address employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, performance, and redundancy.
  • Review occupational health, employee programs, staff benefits, and communicate any new initiatives.
  • Stay informed on company compliance, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Regularly report to the executive team on business issues and trends.
  • Determine key performance indicators and incentive schemes.
  • Coach, mentor, and support senior colleagues.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Experienced HR generalist and business leader within a matrix organization, adept at influencing senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in executing HR strategies that align with business priorities.
  • Experience in project management and organizational change.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems (e.g., People HR).
  • Strong team management and development capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in financial and quantitative aspects of HR.
  • A collaborative team player who values knowledge sharing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Professional HR qualification, such as CIPD.
  • Experience in change management and organizational development.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits.
