Manager - Financial Reporting - London

We will count on you to:

  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of financial records, including the insured level financial records, ledger accounts, and the resultant financial statements and internal reportings
  • Delegate, review, approve, and on occasion, prepare requests for ad hoc analysis of various types of financial information
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of the internal control environment including general adherence and knowledge of SOX controls and external audit procedures
  • Ensure financial activities are conducted in compliance with internal and external control requirements
  • Ensure that Statutory Accounts are properly maintained and reconciled in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting "Policy" procedures (GAAP)
  • Adhere to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensure these principles and practices are applied in the daily work
  • Work collaboratively with financial reporting colleagues and take responsibility for driving the engagement and culture of the team
  • Understand the financial strategies and plans of the business and serve as consultant to management on processes with financial implications, financial plans and business performance
  • Collaborate with Controllership and possibly cross functional teams in identifying opportunities to improve operating efficiency, controls, implement new technologies, develop solutions, achieve consensus for change and drive projects through implementation
