VisionFR Limited is looking for a Finance Manager to join our dynamic team within a digital product agency on a fixed-term contract basis for a duration of 12 months. This role will primarily focus on financial reporting, forecasting, and managing both accounts payable and receivable, alongside general accounting tasks and various ad hoc responsibilities. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and supervise the Management Accountant and transactional staff.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work predominantly remotely, with occasional visits to the office.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Authorize monthly payment runs.
  • Set up payments within the banking system.
  • Evaluate and enhance the Accounts Payable processes, including the implementation of new procedures.
  • Provide holiday cover for accounts payable tasks.
  • Conduct final reviews of sales invoices.
  • Assess and improve the Accounts Receivable processes, including the establishment of new protocols.

General Accounting Duties:

  • Review and approve journal entries.
  • Sign off on all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare cash flow reports for Portugal.
  • Review consolidated cash flow statements.
  • Authorize VAT returns.
  • Act as the primary contact for tax matters and external audits.

Payroll Management:

  • Supervise UK payroll operations.
  • Review payroll processes for Portugal.
  • Update and generate payroll forecasts.
  • Serve as the point of contact for payroll audits.

Administrative and Reporting Functions:

  • Assist in setting up new projects and client accounts.
  • Handle ad hoc financial tasks.
  • Oversee month-end processes for Portugal and consolidated accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Management Accountant on company financial reporting.
  • Generate client reports for the client management team.
  • Approve consolidated month-end reports and finalize board presentations.
  • Work with the Management Accountant to develop budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable finance role.
  • Finalist or fully qualified in a recognized accounting qualification.
  • Proficient in Excel and other financial software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
