Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Oversee External Financial Reporting: Ensure high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines for the consolidated Group.
  • Analyze Complex Financial Reporting Areas: Understand the impact of various transactions on financial statements and identify areas for process optimization.
  • Establish a Robust Control Environment: Ensure accuracy and reliability of consolidated financial information.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Experts: Address external disclosure requirements and financial reporting challenges.
  • Communicate Complex Financial Concepts: Effectively communicate with senior stakeholders, including the Group Audit Committee.
  • Drive Process Optimization and Automation: Spearhead initiatives to improve financial reporting processes and efficiency.
  • Act as Deputy Financial Reporting Lead: Manage senior stakeholders and the Group FR team as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant Financial Reporting Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting with a large financial institution, ideally in a Group capacity.
  • Understanding of External Disclosure Requirements: Familiarity with external disclosure requirements for large organizations, preferably in financial services.
  • Familiarity with Consolidation and Sarbanes-Oxley: Advantageous to have experience with consolidation and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Strong Knowledge of IFRSs: In-depth knowledge of IFRSs and awareness of best practices in financial reporting.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and challenge existing procedures.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate financial issues to management and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience Managing Teams: Proven experience in managing teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process Optimization Experience: Experience implementing process optimization or automation is beneficial.
