Job Title: Deputy Technical Manager

The Financial Reporting Council UK is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Technical Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Secretariat, you will play a crucial role in supporting the work of the UK Endorsement Board (UKEB) in assessing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for application by UK entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the UKEB team to influence the development of IFRS accounting standards and undertake thought-leadership activities to contribute to the international development of financial reporting.
  • Manage complex projects, including setting and meeting deadlines and managing working groups.
  • Direct line management of a proportion of team members, including the heads of workstreams.
  • Work with the Director and other senior Secretariat team to ensure on-going team management and development.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the financial reporting environment of listed companies and a keen interest in IFRS.
  • Experience of working in accountancy, corporate law or a financial function of financial reporting in capital markets.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach to work.
