We are currently recruiting for a ServiceNow Product Owner on a 12 month fixed term contract in our Asda People Services. This role is critical in defining and delivering our HRSD Service Now platform strategy and solutions. The primary responsibility of a Product Owner – ServiceNow is to act as the bridge between the development team and the Process Owners, ensuring that the development efforts align with the overall vision, goals, and priorities of ServiceNow. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of 3-4 colleagues and owning and managing the HRSD ServiceNow platform within the organisation.

The incumbent will focus on analysing processes, gathering system requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with Process Owners, People Tech members and Asda Tech specialists, as well as external vendors to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and supports efficient service management processes. Support gathering of requirements and management of the product backlog and will work closely with stakeholders to successfully deliver ServiceNow projects which comply with the standards set by the platform team. Responsibilities: Product Vision, Roadmap & Funding ProposalsAssist the product team with setting strategy, vision, and roadmap for HRSDPrioritise backlog items based on business value, user needs, and technical considerations.Provide inputs to development of the business case to secure funding for identified opportunities.Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine the product strategyMaintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is updated regularly technical task.Lead the development of testing strategy, testing scripts and signoff for any changes and development.Define standards for the Citizen Development framework and ensure adherence.Plan and coordinate the product release schedule in collaboration with the development team and stakeholders.Define clear acceptance criteria for new releases with the development team to ensure that deliverables meet those criteria.Lead team members to build a culture of continuous product excellence and improvement.Act as the primary point of contact for the development team regarding product-related questions and decisions.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and testers, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.Manage demands, requirements, and feedback for ServiceNow.Own continuous improvement for HRSD ServiceNow and explore new features of the platform.Support the adoption of a standardized product, limiting customization for business reasons.Provide inputs for governance boards as per pre-defined frameworks and templates.Participate in sprint retrospectives and actively seek opportunities to improve team processes and product quality.Collaborate with process owners to obtain necessary inputs to update the product to support process or policy changes.
