Position Title:
Senior ServiceNow Developer

Compensation:
Up to £60,000 based on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting assessments of functionalities and applications within the ServiceNow platform to ensure alignment with business processes and policies.
Proposing enhancements for the ServiceNow platform and associated services.
Creating comprehensive technical specifications, devising solutions, configuring Out of The Box (OOB) features, and writing program code to implement these solutions.
Performing technical testing of ServiceNow in controlled non-production environments prior to deployment.
Overseeing the maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including routine housekeeping, data management, technical debt reduction, bug resolution, and configuration tasks.
Facilitating software development delivery utilizing agile methodologies.
Providing coaching, mentorship, and support to fellow developers within the team.
Assuming technical accountability throughout all phases of ServiceNow software development.
Planning and directing software construction activities, while selecting and adapting suitable software development methods, tools, and techniques.
Designing complex systems, components, and modules, and producing solution design documentation. Conducting impact analyses on significant design choices and trade-offs, making informed recommendations, and managing associated risks. Specifying prototypes or simulations to support decision-making processes.
Evaluating proposed implementations and assessing risks to the integrity of the product and service environment. Ensuring proper change approval processes are followed for modifications.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
Understanding of business unit policies and procedures.
Experience in IT functions and software project delivery.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL frameworks.
Experience in implementing the CSDM framework and custom REST-based integrations.
Extensive knowledge of HR and SPM modules.

ServiceNow Certifications:
Certified System Administrator
Certified Application Developer
CIS – ITSM
SSCIS HR – distinct advantage
CIS SPM – distinct advantage
Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience in Agile methodologies.
