Job Title:
ServiceNow Senior Developer

Location:
Leeds or Preston.

Salary:
Up to £60,000 based on experience and skills

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting assessments of functionalities and applications on the ServiceNow platform to determine their alignment with business processes and policies.
Proposing enhancements for the ServiceNow platform and associated services.
Creating comprehensive technical specifications, formulating proposed solutions, configuring Out of The Box (OOB) features, and writing program code to implement the solution.
Performing technical testing of ServiceNow in controlled non-production environments prior to deployment.
Overseeing the maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, which includes general housekeeping, data cleansing, minimizing technical debt, addressing bugs, and configuration management.
Facilitating the delivery of software development utilizing scrum methodologies.
Providing coaching, mentoring, and support to fellow developers within the team.
Assuming technical responsibility throughout all phases and iterations of ServiceNow software development.
Planning and driving software construction activities, while adopting and adapting suitable software development methods, tools, and techniques.
Designing large or complex systems, components, and modules, and producing solution design documentation. Conducting impact analysis on significant design options and trade-offs, making recommendations, and assessing and managing associated risks. Specifying prototypes/simulations to enable informed decision-making.
Reviewing proposed implementations and evaluating the risks to the integrity of the product and service environment. Ensuring that appropriate change approvals are applied to modifications.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
Understanding of business unit policies and processes.
Experience in an IT function and software project delivery.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
Experience in implementing the CSDM framework and custom REST-based integrations.
Extensive experience with HR and SPM modules.

ServiceNow Certifications:
Certified System Administrator
Certified Application Developer
CIS – ITSM
SSCIS HR – distinct advantage
CIS SPM – distinct advantage
Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience in Agile Methodologies.
