We have an exciting opportunity in the central Superintendent Pharmacist's Office for a dedicated, experienced pharmacy professional, passionate about person-centred care and high professional standards. About the role

Reporting to the Patient Safety Development Manager, you'll use your expertise and experience as a pharmacy professional to support our incident management and quality improvement agenda that has patient safety and holistic patient-centred care at its heart. You'll play an important role in the day-to-day management of adverse incidents originating from dispensing, pharmacy services, pharmacy diagnostic, testing and vaccination procedures and other adverse professional events reported by Boots UK stores. Key responsibilities include

- Supporting store and area managers to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances of an alleged incident including identification and completion of meaningful actions to reduce the risk of similar patient safety events occurring in the future.

- Ensuring that all the parties involved are treated with fairness and compassion, facilitating ongoing trust and confidence in Boots' reputation across our internal and external stakeholders.

Your insights will support the understanding of senior leaders within the business and will contribute to the development of patient safety across all of the Healthcare Business Unit of Boots UK.

What you'll need to have

- be a pharmacist, or pharmacy technician, with a minimum of three years' post-registration experience (at least two years of in-store working) who is able to work independently and as part of a team

- have demonstrable empathy in identifying the perspectives of patients, their families and in-store pharmacy team members involved in an incident and the ability to address their concerns with compassion

- have excellent writing skills, which reflect a meticulous attention to detail and experience with order and quality, so that outputs are of a consistently high standard and suitably tailored for different stakeholders

- demonstrate excellent organisation and planning skills, managing multiple priorities with appropriate pace

- use IT resources (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) to create the high-quality outputs required from the role-holder
