About the Financial Controller Role:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller, supporting the country MD and reporting into the Regional Head of Finance. Our client is an industry-leading commercial business, committed to innovation and high standards. The role would initially run for 6-months, whilst a permanent solution is sought.

Job Purpose: As the Financial Controller, you will be highly autonomous and will act as the business partner for the country MD, understanding business drivers and recommending action.

You will have responsibility for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control policies and will be responsible for financial risk management. You will also report to and be supported by the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
Controlling projects, budgets, and forecastsLeading Finance & Risk ManagementReviewing monthly accounts and financial reportsCommunicating project statuses with managersPreparing monthly profit and loss accountsConducting financial data analysisEnsuring timely VAT returns and statutory accountsPreparing monthly financial statements
Requirements:

To be successful as the Financial Controller, you should have:
5+ years of accounting and finance experienceExperience of complex, ideally multi-national, organisationsExposure to long-term project accounting would be idealProven experience as a Financial ControllerDemonstrable commercial finance success Strong knowledge of accounting principlesProficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (AX ERP preferred)Excellent communication and leadership skillsRelevant experience is sought although an accounting qualification would be advantageousThe role is remote based, although can be based near Milton Keynes if desired. Travel to Denmark once a month (for 1-2 days) will be required, so a valid passport is essential.
This role would be suitable for Financial Controller, Finance Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Manager, Senior Management Accountant, Senior Accountant.
