Role Summary

As a Security Specialist at Securitas, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional security services for our esteemed client. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks including patrolling, surveillance, conducting bag inspections, and collaborating with our client.

Reporting directly to the onsite Supervisor, you will be stationed at a significant facility for our international client in the defence sector. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest security standards and proactively implement standard operating procedures.

Your duties as a Security Specialist will include:

  • Collaborating with the onsite Supervisor to ensure compliance with site and business requirements
  • Playing a pivotal role in safeguarding critical information and assets for our defence sector client
  • Protecting the assets of our client
  • Conducting thorough patrols across a large facility, both internally and externally
  • Maintaining vigilance to identify and deter any suspicious or threatening activities, ensuring control until authorities arrive
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
  • Documenting and reporting any faults or health and safety hazards
  • Utilizing radios and other physical security equipment on site
  • Conducting initial investigations and providing both verbal and written reports on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles
  • Maintaining control over any threatening behavior until law enforcement or other external agencies arrive
Key Qualifications

To qualify for the Security Specialist role at Securitas, you should possess:

  • A current, valid SIA licence or a willingness to obtain one through Securitas
  • British nationality for a minimum of five years due to National Security requirements
  • Valid proof of right to work in the UK and the ability to pass security clearance
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Capability to make timely and informed decisions with justifiable reasoning
  • Physical fitness, as walking and foot patrols are essential
  • A flexible and responsive approach to adapt to changing needs and urgencies
  • A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
