Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our esteemed finance team. This role is crucial for overseeing the financial integrity of our organization and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
About the Company
Our client is a prominent manufacturer with a strong global footprint, excelling in research and development, production, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage month-end accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement evaluations. Prepare quarterly financial reporting documents and annual statutory financial statements (FRS102). Coordinate the annual UK statutory audit and maintain the accuracy of Oracle statutory ledgers for local accounts and tax obligations.
- Taxation and Compliance: Oversee VAT reporting and compliance, ensuring meticulous record-keeping for logistics importation. Prepare Corporation Tax Returns Packs and collaborate with third-party advisors for timely completion of regulatory submissions.
- Treasury Management: Assist in the preparation and management of cash flow, including local treasury processes and corporate credit card programs.
- Additional Duties: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Effectively manage the Overseas Shared Service Centre team and provide support to non-financial staff across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a full ACA or ACCA qualification and have substantial experience in a professional accounting environment or commercial setting. Familiarity with FRS102 is essential, along with proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. We are looking for a self-driven problem solver with a proactive approach, strong teamwork capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
