Connections 2 Independence are looking for a fun, outgoing, independent and inspiring individual to join our team in supporting some of our most vulnerable young people.

We need drive and passion with working with young people as we offer stipulated support will include elements of 1:1 support and group sessions to access our support programs.


C2I will include a variety of budgeting tasks in the young person's support plans which include supported shops with the young person ensuring they can budget their personal allowance to purchase appropriate foods, health and hygiene products and any other essentials.

We will run group sessions to develop social relationships amongst young people, these will include cooking workshops, budgeting, group shops, sexual health workshops and other activities.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working in a range of settings with vulnerable young people.
  • Demonstrable commitment to recognising and valuing young people's achievement in a range of learning styles.
  • Evidence of recent commitment to personal professional development.
  • Experience of working on your own initiative and within a Team.
  • Understanding and promotion of equal opportunities in both staff and client work.
  • A "cando" approach.
  • Applicant requires to take part in an Enhanced Criminal Record check/DBS.
  • Driving Licence and access to own transport.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service user empowerment and reintegration.
  • Flexibility, creativity, initiative and selfmotivation.
  • Proven cooperation and communication skills.
  • Excellent level of IT literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and case management databases.
  • Level Three health and social care qualification
  • GCSE's Grade C or above in English & Maths.
  • A flexible approach to working hours in line with the potentially unpredictable nature of housing management.
