About the role


Working Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm the Transport Administrator will help support the wider DFDS network through completing various administrative tasks as well as providing customer service to our external stakeholders.


You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the wider finance team based in Poland by sending across POD's from UK based deliveries.
  • Reacting to customer requests if physical copies of POD's are required to correct invoicing errors.
  • Monitoring and maintaining Truckcom for performance for the local sites. Send daily updates to the management teams.
  • Creating and sending customer related reports showing our Delivery on Time performance and other matrix such as rejections and demurrage.
  • Checking final work summaries from our customers to ensure we have received all orders and are planning against the most up to date information.
  • Utilising our planning/order system to pull customer orders through their EDI link to allow for planning teams to create our daily transport plan.
  • Creating service/MOT jobs in our system to ensure vehicles are planned for downtime as per their legal requirement.
  • Checking our system to ensure jobs have costs allocated and are allocated to the correct customer. Being reactive to the needs of the business, flexing what the priorities are on any given day.
