About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a key member of our Purchasing department, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of goods and services, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the efficient management of stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase products, materials, and services required to fulfill sales orders on time, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers through regular communication, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with hauliers and suppliers to schedule collections and deliveries of goods, optimizing logistics and transportation.
  • Manage stock levels and schedule deliveries to maximize production efficiency, reducing waste and minimizing stockouts.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and deliveries, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Manager and team, including data entry, reporting, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in administration, preferably in purchasing or procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets and reports.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Great team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
