Within the FIS Capital Markets Division, our team members located across the globe, focus on supporting the Life Insurance, Health Insurance, General Insurance (GI), and Pension or Retirement Product marketplaces with our globally acclaimed and market leading Prophet software.

You will join a global consulting services team which is responsible for delivering consultancy services during the implementation of the FIS Prophet solution. Your focus will be on delivering actuarial consulting services for Prophet GI, and you will work in a team of highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable individuals with experience of major migrations, conversions and implementations across the World for various global insurance companies.

What you will be doing

The Actuarial Manager role based in the UK is a key client facing role within the Risk Consulting Services business at FIS, and it is expected you will work closely alongside other members of the Risk Consulting Services and Solutions teams on client delivery for Prophet GI engagements. You will report to an Actuarial Principal in our business and you will provide:

  • Subject matter expertise and best practice advice on the Prophet GI solution for FIS client implementations
  • Participation and assistance in new business GI sales pursuits with our global clients and prospects

In the role you will bring a strong client focus with the ability to lead and facilitate client workshops, and you will be expected to be flexible, adaptable and professional in your approach to working with clients. The role will also involve a level of travel to support Prophet GI client projects.

For Prophet GI key clients you will be involved in delivering the following types of Prophet engagements:

  • Implementing the actuarial code provided with the Prophet GI modules for Reserving and Capital Modelling
  • Prototyping and implementing GI solutions in Prophet
  • Reviewing the design and structure of Prophet code being developed for Prophet GI client projects

What you bring

  • A qualified Actuary (or equivalent experience), with a specialism in General Insurance
  • Capital Modelling, Pricing & Reserving knowledge and experience
  • Good understanding of Prophet or a similar actuarial modelling system
  • Fluent in English with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Skilled at stakeholder management and communicating effectively with clients
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, both internally and with clients

Added bonus if you have

  • Knowledge of insurance industry and the current regulatory regimes for insurers (e.g. IFRS17)
  • Experience working on technology implementation projects, either in-house or in a vendor/consultancy environment
  • Experience working on international projects with team members based across multiple locations and timezones
  • European language skills
