Role Overview:
As a Principal Research & Insight Consultant, you will play a pivotal role within our Research & Insight team, driving the customer agenda through compelling insights derived from diverse sources. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of insight professionals, working across the organization to foster customer-centric decision-making through the delivery of actionable insights, presented in a confident and impactful manner.
This position, situated within our Customer & Brand Directorate, is crucial as we strive to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer insights from market research to influence product and service enhancements, steering the strategic direction of the organization.
- Define, develop, and implement insight solutions and recommendations that cater to the needs of both internal stakeholders and the business.
- Manage relationships with internal colleagues and external insight providers.
- Collaborate with partners within IAG, our parent company.
- Serve as an internal consultant on customer-related matters.
- Communicate insights effectively and persuasively.
Desired Qualifications:
We seek an individual who is inquisitive about consumer trends and adept at understanding customer needs. You should be skilled in shaping new customer experiences and communications while assessing their impact. Experience in managing large market research datasets, as well as unstructured data, is essential. Ideally, you will have a background in market research management, either from an agency or client-side perspective. A collaborative and consultative approach to working with colleagues is vital to influence British Airways' offerings for its customers.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale quantitative insight programs, particularly in customer experience.
- Relevant experience collaborating with external market research agencies or consultancies.
- Strong analytical skills to synthesize diverse data sources, including internal operational and social media data, to generate actionable recommendations and insights that drive decision-making and business growth.
- Proficient in presenting complex information and strategic recommendations at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to analyze both structured and unstructured datasets.
