Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing the complete functionality of their designated terminal, ensuring the fulfillment of all sales objectives while identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance retail performance. This role involves managing the recruitment, training, and development of the Clinique consultant team, leading by example to foster a productive and efficient business environment. The manager will proactively drive inventory and sales, mentor the team to deliver outstanding customer service, and capitalize on all sales opportunities. Additional responsibilities include team development and providing support within the business framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Management

Performance Metrics

Regularly update and align retail targets with the broader business strategy, communicating these objectives to the Clinique team each month to ensure clarity and target achievement. Analyze business performance metrics: sales results against targets, identifying growth opportunities.

Conduct monthly and weekly performance reviews to assess target achievement and identify growth opportunities.

Facilitate team and retailer meetings to discuss performance and strategies.

Implement a comprehensive six-month activity planner to ensure target achievement aligned with brand strategy.

Be proactive in exploring new sales opportunities and enhancing service standards while coaching consultants.

Execute bi-monthly promotional events, analyzing sales outcomes and evaluating effectiveness.

Adapt to brand strategy changes, sales plans, and new processes as required.

Engage in monthly management meetings to review performance.

Monitor competitor activities and products, collaborating with management to devise competitive strategies.

Prepare detailed monthly reports outlining sales performance against targets and market trends.

Team Leadership

Performance Metrics

Inspire and guide team members through in-store coaching, establishing clear objectives and conducting regular reviews to ensure the achievement of brand performance indicators.

Conduct monthly and weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss performance and development.

Serve as a role model for team members in conduct, appearance, and sales techniques.

Ensure all team members adhere to high standards of personal grooming and address any issues promptly.

Maintain effective communication with the team through regular meetings, sharing updates on performance, targets, and incentives.

Ensure timely completion of all HR documentation and performance management processes.

Inventory Management

Performance Metrics

Monitor stock levels, particularly on key products, taking immediate action to maintain optimal inventory levels in line with sales trends.

Attend weekly stock assessments to ensure adequate inventory.

Visual Merchandising

Performance Metrics

Maintain merchandising displays and ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.

Communicate and implement visual merchandising guidelines, following up weekly on any changes.

Recruitment and Training

Performance Metrics

Ensure all new hires undergo a comprehensive onboarding process and receive ongoing performance reviews during their probation period.

Proactively fill vacancies and assist in the recruitment of top talent.

Education and Development

Performance Metrics

Educate and coach teams on product knowledge and sales techniques to enhance customer experience.

Promote self-learning and completion of training modules.

Provide regular feedback to management on team performance and development needs.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail management is essential. Candidates must possess an in-date passport and meet security clearance requirements.
