Position Overview:

The Counter Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the complete operations of their designated terminal, ensuring that all retail objectives are met. This individual will strategize and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing retail performance while nurturing the overall business potential of the terminal. Responsibilities include managing the recruitment, training, and development of the Clinique consultant team, setting a standard of excellence through personal example to foster an effective and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Business Oversight

Regularly update and align retail targets with SEE, ASOM & REM, ensuring clear communication of objectives to the Clinique team. Analyze business performance metrics such as Retail results vs Targets, MOB%, IPT, and ATV to identify growth opportunities.

Conduct monthly and weekly reviews to assess target achievements and explore avenues for growth.

Organize team and retailer meetings to discuss strategies and performance.

Develop and manage a six-month activity planner that aligns with brand strategy to achieve targets.

Proactively seek methods to enhance sales opportunities and service standards while mentoring Consultants.

Execute bi-monthly pop-up events with a focus on sales results and evaluations.

Adapt swiftly to changes in brand strategy, sales, and retail plans.

Engage in monthly management meetings to review progress.

Monitor competitor activities and products, discussing strategies with SEE/ASOM to enhance business performance.

Provide comprehensive monthly feedback reports and maintain effective communication with the Store Management Team.

Team Leadership

Inspire and guide team members through in-store coaching, setting clear objectives, and conducting regular reviews to ensure the achievement of brand KPIs and fiscal targets.

Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings to assess individual performance and provide feedback.

Ensure all team members adhere to high standards of personal grooming and conduct.

Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular meetings and updates on performance, targets, and incentives.

Address any performance issues promptly and in accordance with company policy.

Stock and Merchandising Management

Monitor stock levels, particularly on key products, and take necessary actions to maintain optimal inventory in line with sales trends.

Ensure merchandising displays meet brand standards and maintain cleanliness and hygiene on the counter.

Recruitment and Training

Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive proper training and mentorship.

Maintain proactive communication with potential candidates to fill vacancies efficiently.

Education and Development

Educate and coach team members on product knowledge and sales techniques to enhance customer experience.

Provide regular feedback to the Education Manager regarding team performance and development needs.

Qualifications:

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events in a dynamic environment.

Previous experience in retail management is essential.
