The role: Senior Analytics Consultant

In this role, you'll work closely with the Head of Analytics & AI Products, and the wider Operations Leadership team. Your focus will be on providing actionable insights, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes to enhance our airline operations. This department is essential for driving strategic decisions and ensuring operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver insights and models that support the airline’s business plan and operational goals. Develop and maintain a single source of truth for KPI reporting, and lead performance reviews. Champion a data-driven mindset, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leaders. Design and implement metrics, reports, and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Provide expert consultancy to align data insights with business strategy. Conduct performance reviews and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay informed about industry trends and airline operations to drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Strong analytical skills with a digital mindset. Proactive, collaborative, and innovative approach. Clear communication skills and the ability to influence decision-making. Resilience under pressure and adaptability to changing priorities.

Your experience:

Degree in a numerate field with significant content in data science, advanced analytics, or operational research, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in applying analytics in a business context. Deep understanding of airline operations and industry trends. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant analytical tools. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong consultancy skills, including stakeholder management and strategic thinking.
