The role: Resource Systems and Analytics Manager - 12-Month Fixed-term

We’re seeking a highly analytical and confident individual to join our dynamic team as a Resource Systems and Analytics Manager. This is a great opportunity to drive system and process innovation within the department and the larger organisation to meet stakeholder needs.

The Resource Systems and Analytics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our Engineering HR systems and providing strategic insights through data analysis. This role is critical in ensuring effective management of the business through supporting data-driven decision-making processes within the organisation.

What you’ll do:

Responsible for SAP HR systems and development ensuring fit for purpose and meeting the business needs. This includes management of supplier relationships both internal and external, as well as managing the system interface and the relationship with IT Drive system and process innovation within the department and larger organisation to meet stakeholder needs. Accountable for managing and setting direction for monthly forecasting and reporting Leads the relationship with pay services and responsible for FAQ queue management pay and HR system queries Responsible for the Engineering Payroll system interface Working with HR and Finance facilitating agreed pay structures and provide accurate notification of pay for Engineering Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll, pay advances, deductions and variable pay elements. Including management of Payroll Internal Control and Financial Reporting Build and manage tables within SAP (current HR system) for shift rosters and leave allocation in line with business requirements and employment legislations Responsible for the calculation and allocation of all leave types for Engineering mainline colleagues and subsidiaries Create and design key reports to support the rest of the department as well as Engineering with accurate and transparent view of payroll as well as to aid with effective management of the business Drive functional stakeholder and senior leadership engagement and ownership of SAP resource systems through training and development There is an expectation that you will undertake adhoc work on an exceptional basis or provide relevant cover for other team tasks

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Highly analytical with excellent numerical skills, able to present complex data in simple terms Manages ambiguity, balancing the often conflicting demands of operational requirements versus cost of resource Digital mindset - comfortable using technology and proficient in all Microsoft office programmes Data savvy - enjoys using data to create insights and drive decision-making Ability to use data to answer complex business problems Problem-solving – evaluating problems, finding effective solutions, presenting results, and making decisions in a clear and informative manner. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers up to and including Senior Managers including effective communication and influencing Pro-active self-starter with a proven record of effective trouble shooting regarding in-depth, complex and detailed SAP HR data issues

Your experience:

3 years working in a large volume payroll department (desirable) GCSE / A level standard of education in English and Maths (or equivalent) Excellent level of knowledge and PC Skills including usage, manipulation and analysis of spreadsheets, word and excel Good understanding of GDPR and its application to staff information and impacts of disclosure
