Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Join British Airways as the Head of Engineering Strategy, a crucial senior leadership position within our Engineering division.
This department plays a vital role in driving strategic transformation and innovation across our engineering sectors, ensuring that our engineering strategies are in harmony with our organizational objectives and support our mission to enhance British Airways.
As a senior leader, you will collaborate closely with engineering Directors and other business executives to guide significant initiatives from conception to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives across the Engineering division, in alignment with BA's Director of Strategy. Foster and advocate for strategic partnerships with leaders throughout the organization to align with corporate objectives. Provide executive mentorship to the Engineering leadership team on contemporary strategic methodologies. Oversee the Engineering Risk Operations Centre, crafting and executing a strategic framework for Risk Management. Prioritize strategic projects, allocate resources efficiently, and track progress to ensure alignment with BA's goals. Deliver regular updates and reports to Central Transformation Teams, the BA Management Committee, and the IAG Management Committee.Qualifications:
Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. A strategic perspective with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, with a demonstrated history in strategy formulation and execution. A collaborative mindset, effectively working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives. Resilience and adaptability in the face of change and ambiguity. A commitment to continuous improvement and the exploration of new technologies.Experience Required:
Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing strategic change within the airline, transport, or aviation industries, or from a consulting background. In-depth expertise in strategy formulation and execution. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to present clear, impactful recommendations. Exceptional communication skills to establish and maintain key relationships with stakeholders.Benefits:
