Description:

We are local Mechanical plumbing & heating contractor based in Reading.

We are seeking a competent individual who has initiative and a strong Customer focussed mind-set - with a minimum of 5 years' experience.

This is a new role within the organisation due to expansion of the services we provide - specifically reactive maintenance and servicing. Currently we have 6 office staff and 12 field staff.

Your main duties would be, but are not limited to:-

Assisting our project managers with putting together costs for their projects/tenders

You would build a strong relationship with local merchants and sub-contractors to seek their most competitive cost for materials/specialist services.

Seek costs for smaller re-active jobs to assist the Service Team. Whether this be on-line or using our branch based merchants.

Prepare and submit quotations for the smaller re-active jobs, with the supervision of our office team.

Raise purchase orders

Assist in calender scheduling for our engineers

Monitor Staff Training and ensure no one's accreditations expire. (including Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling etc)

Review Sub-Contractor Insurances, making sure their Insurances are in date and we have a record of policy on file.

Monitor progress of jobs, and ensure completed jobs are sent to Invoicing.

Essential Skills required:

Confidence to work independently using own initiative.

Competent with MicroSoft Office

A good knowledge of Health & Safety would be advantageous
