Faversham, United Kingdom Strode Park Foundation Full time
About the Role

Come and work for our Supported Living Team as a senior carer, where each day is different. As a dedicated Lead carer, you will provide support to individuals in individual supported living accommodation.

Are you passionate about ensuring a person-centred approach is delivered? If so, we are now recruiting for a part time Lead Care & Support Worker who will work 24 hours per week (plus sleep night cover when needed) for our Lifestyles Community Services' Supported Living Team based at our Lady Dane Farmhouse home in Love Lane, Faversham.

Job Opportunity

As a dedicated Lead Care and Support Worker for our Supported Living Team, you will:

  • Ensure that the highest standard of essential and routine care is delivered at all times.
  • Encourage and support our service users in reaching their full potential.
  • Be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including ordering, auditing and administration along side other senior colleagues.
  • Assist with the use and care of hoists, showing proficiency in all movement and transferring techniques.
  • Maintain and complete Medication Administration Records (MAR) charts.

As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will get comprehensive support from day one and receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.

Our tailored supported living packages are provided as part of our wider Lifestyles Community Service, with a number of individuals receiving high quality and individualised care with a specific focus on a person making informed choices, staff encouraging and supporting optimum wellbeing and a real strive towards independence.

Supported Living at Lady Dane Farmhouse is in Faversham where these roles are based (but come under Lifestyles Community Services). It is a home to adults with mixed disabilities who need long or short-term care. The residential home is a fun and nurturing environment and allows people to live as independently as possible.
