We are excited to be advertising for a Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager for MHST and CWP to support our Torbay team.

Thesuccessful post-holder will be joining a growing early intervention pathwaywithin CAMHS working with mild to moderate presentations of anxiety and lowmood as well as offering whole-school approach support. The Mental HealthSupport Teams (MHST) pathway currently consists of EMHPs and Child WellbeingPractitioners (CWPs) and is a growing service covering Devon and Torbay. Main duties of the job

As the Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of mental health support services to our clients. Your main duties will include supervising and supporting the clinical staff, managing team schedules and caseloads, and maintaining effective communication within the teams. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of the MHST and CWP offer, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture. Qualifications

Essential

A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent (Psychological profession, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Social Worker, Qualified Teacher etc.). Active registration or appropriate accreditation with professional body (NMC, HCPC, BACP Registered, UKCP - Registered, BABCP - Accredited). Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff.

Management qualification.

Experience

Essential

Extensive experience of managing a busy caseload of clients with a range of complex needs Substantial experience of working at a senior clinical level Working within a community childrens service setting Extensive experience of providing clinical supervision and managing staff

Budget management Extensive experience of leading a clinical team Setting up or working within a new service

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Essential

An excellent understanding of the Mental Health Act and mental health presentations in children/young people across the age range Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage with large groups Able to produce well written reports

An excellent understanding of Early Intervention and Prevention practice Awareness of community structures and social care options and processes Understanding of CYP-IAPT principles and application to practice
