About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Community Clinical Team as a Dietetic Support Worker. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to our team of Community Clinical Dietitians, working alongside patients in their own homes, care homes, and other community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Community Clinical Dietitians, including managing patient referrals, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating patient care.
  • Support patients with nutritional care plans, including monitoring weight, recording food and fluid intake, and providing education on healthy eating.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, care homes, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist with the training of students and other healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, resources, and guidelines relevant to the role, working closely with the Community Dietetic team.
Requirements
  • Level 3 education or equivalent (NVQ3, A level, diploma, etc.)
  • Good standard of education to include GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Experience of dealing with the general public, training, teaching, and supporting others
  • Proven administrative experience, ability to work autonomously, and proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and good team working skills
