We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dietetic Support Worker to join our Community Clinical Dietitians team in Torbay and South Devon. As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients living in the community who require nutritional support. You will work closely with our clinical team to provide administrative, clinical, and project management support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Community Clinical Dietitians team, including managing patient referrals, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating patient care plans.
- Support patients with nutritional care plans, including monitoring weight, food intake, and fluid intake, and providing education on healthy eating and nutrition.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including dietitians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to nutrition and dietetics.
- Level 3 education or equivalent (NVQ3, A level, diploma, etc.)
- Good standard of education to include GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Experience of dealing with the general public, training, teaching, and supporting others
- Proven administrative experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
