About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dietetic Support Worker to join our Community Clinical Dietitians team in Torbay and South Devon. As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients living in the community who require nutritional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Community Clinical Dietitians team, including managing patient referrals, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating patient care.
  • Support patients with nutritional care plans, including monitoring weight, food intake, and fluid intake, and providing education on healthy eating and nutrition.
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Clinical Dietitians team to provide a comprehensive dietetic service to patients in their own homes, care homes, and other community settings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, care homes, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, resources, and guidelines relevant to the role, led by the Community Dietetic team.
Requirements
  • Level 3 education or equivalent (NVQ3, A level, diploma etc)
  • Good standard of education to include GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Experience of dealing with the general public, training, teaching, and supporting others
  • Proven administrative experience, ability to work autonomously, and proficient in the use of Internet/Intranet and email
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, highly organized, and good team working skills
