The Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialized services in children's residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, is seeking a committed professional to take on the role of CSE Clinical Supervisor for the South West region. This position requires a candidate with comprehensive expertise in Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), clinical practices related to multi-agency safeguarding, and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The CSE Clinical Supervisor will oversee and ensure clinical governance for the CSE services within the South West region. The region is supported by a full-time Mental Health Practitioner who will handle daily clinical responsibilities. Your role will involve providing remote support, clinical supervision, and guidance, with occasional in-person engagements.

As the clinical lead, you will:

  • Coordinate assessments and interventions to implement effective service delivery.
  • Offer guidance and constructive feedback on clinical assessments and recommendations.
  • Support multi-agency risk assessments related to CSE.
  • Provide consultation, advice, and support to operational and educational teams.
  • Manage a small caseload of 1-2 young individuals, delivering direct support.
  • Develop and present training sessions and tailored workshops for staff as needed.

This role necessitates close collaboration with the regional manager and the educational lead to promote cohesive and aligned operations.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of CSE and its implications for young people, families, and systems.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents presenting diverse clinical needs.
  • Proficiency in supervising both clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Understanding of therapeutic intervention theories and practices for children and young people.
  • Skills in assessment, formulation, and intervention strategies.
  • Experience in partnership working to support care planning and progression.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
  • Experience in teaching and training.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must be registered with the relevant professional body and hold qualifications that enable them to conduct assessments and interventions. Strong teamwork, excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential. A caring and compassionate demeanor, along with the ability to engage effectively with young individuals, is crucial.
