The Vacancy
The Strategic Relationship team work across all Pensions Market Business Units and oversees our firms’ pensions market professional connections and strategic relationships. The team also support training the people of our future within Hymans Robertson and run regular networking training courses for the graduates and junior staff.
As our interim Strategic Relationship Executive, you will be the face of Hymans Robertson Pensions Business working closely with the Head of Strategic Relationships to help steer and drive and networking strategies across the rest of the firm.
This role has come up at an essential time for the business. With professional independent trustees and other professional connections noted as a key part of our firm’s overall business growth strategy, you will play an imperative role in helping drive these relationships forward.
This is an exciting and interesting role that would be suitable for someone who thrives working with multiple stakeholders across a diverse range of projects.
What will your role look like?
Interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders with a focus on building and nurturing excellent working relationships. Hosting and attending key industry events, conferences and awards nights helping to build the Hymans brand and gain industry market exposure - you will play an important part in organising, facilitating, and attending our annual Hymans series of events and will liaise with clients, professional connections, prospects and decision makers with confidence and ease. You’ll be working with key internal stake holders at all levels, across all departments and BU’s giving you insights and exposure to people from across all our services and exposure to varied work streams. This includes liaising with the business unit leads and other key stake holders across the pensions market to ensure appropriate attendance at events. A percentage of your role will be working with and leading on the internal professional trustee group. Focusing on improving processes, leading meetings (internal and external) and facilitating introductions. You will manage and lead on the work we do with our Systems team to ensure that required new features and system improvements are prioritised and actioned. You will support the Head of Strategic Relationships, our clients and professional independent trustees on the smooth running of the HRPTP (Hymans Robertson Professional Trustee Programme) which supports our clients in selecting a professional trustee for their pension scheme. You will lead on the organisation and logistics for firm wide graduate NextGen training and co-host these F2F sessions across office locations You will be involved in multiple projects across the business throughout the year and will input into the scoping, prioritisation and management of these projects.Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant UK pensions industry knowledge or experience is beneficial. Knowledge of the Professional Independent Trustee landscape would be advantageous. Strong communication and presentation skills. Having the ability to present to large groups and lead meetings with people at all levels including Senior Stakeholders and decision makers. Excellent listening skills and a good memory for detail. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams. Knowledge of CRM systems (specifically: Microsoft Dynamics) would be highly beneficial. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Word, excel and SharePoint. Experience of dealing with clients, consultants, professional connections and other stakeholders in a sensitive, diplomatic and professional manner.If you enjoy the following, we think you’ll love this opportunity:
