We have a great opportunity for two Finance Business Analysts to join our Global Finance Team. As a perfect stepping stone to a wide range of career opportunities including being a Finance Business Partner, you will support the delivery of accurate analysis and reporting to the business, assist with forecasting, budgeting, growth projects, year-end reporting and progressively supporting key stakeholders in the business. This role will provide the perfect breadth of experience, including being a listed business, to complement studying for your professional qualifications.

We offer a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office but have the option to work some days remotely based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

More about the role 

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the Finance Business Analyst will be responsible for the following activities. 

  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting, including the posting of journals, management accounts and variance analysis, providing relevant insights and improvements.
  • Support the reporting, monitoring and claiming of UK Government Innovation Funding grants.
  • Design reports for finance and the wider business, working with the FP&A Analysts, primarily using Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI), but also working with the ERP system and MS Excel.
  • Supporting the delivery of Half Year and Annual Report including the co-ordination and production of the Annual Report Pack, investor presentations, half year and annual report and ensuring adherence to Group defined reporting procedures
  • Support the delivery of forecast/reforecast and budget planning outputs ensuring consistency through adherence to the Group defined reporting procedures for Sales, Marketing and R&D Functions.
  • Delivery of accurate cost centre and project reports (including analysis of time incurred) to budget owners including support on analysis, re-forecast and budget inputs to deliver targets.
  • Support business projects with financial insight and analysis.

You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo and offer alternative solutions to interesting problems.

Our ideal candidates will possess experience in use of ERP systems, Business Information writing, preferably with Power BI, and ability to work effectively in spreadsheets, or demonstrate a willingness to acquire such expertise both through supported learning and self-study. You will be working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or keen to commence one having had exposure through education.
