DBS has recently undertaken a review of its operational locations in the North West, and have consolidated all activities in Norcross, Blackpool. A further move, to the new Government Hub at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool, is scheduled to take place in 2026.
**Job description**:
The post holder will work independently and as part of a team undertaking the following tasks:
- Working closely with developers, customers and stakeholders using Agile Methodology to create user stories and acceptance criteria. Completing tickets in accordance with the EPIC Refinement.
- Research proposed business change. Establish the impact on IT systems and accurately document findings to produce detailed requirements.
- Participate/Facilitate/in Supplier and Authority lead meetings/workshops ensuring that the IT aspects of Vets UK business is represented, defined and understood.
- Prepare test cases and expected results, that when successfully completed provide assurance to the business that development has successfully been implemented.
- Organise meetings and workshops relating to change development, ensuring availability of key stakeholders. Recording decisions and actions as appropriate, hastening and advancing and distributing to stakeholders.
- Update project and work plans, action lists and registers as required by the Team Leader. Maintain records for Governance purposes within SharePoint.
- This post entails close working with suppliers and requires some travel/overnight stays to other sites and locations. Attendance out of hours and at weekends may be required.
No line manager responsibilities.
**Person specification**:
Knowledge and Skills required
- A working knowledge of Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) is essential and War Pensions Scheme (WPS) is desirable but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power point.
- Good drafting skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is desirable but not essential.
