Payroll Associate

As a Payroll Specialist you will work as part of a team of 7 and will support with the processing of four monthly payrolls for approximately 6,000 UK employees ensuring an efficient payroll service to the business.

Salary : £16 per hour
Contract : 6 month contract/37.5 hours per week
Location : Norwich
Working Hours :Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office/ 2 days from home, normally be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office
Free parking on site

Responsibilities

  • Support on the processing of the company's payrolls for circa 4,500 employees
  • Process all payroll transactions according to HMRC regulations and internal payroll processes.
  • Calculate statutory payments accurately such as Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Sick Pay
  • Calculate manual payments as and when required
  • Resolve employee payroll related queries in a timely manner
  • Complete third-party payments for pensions, court orders etc.
  • Produce financial reports as requested by the finance team
  • Complete payroll reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Assist with the tax year end procedures
  • Assist with the production of P11d's
  • Prioritise and manage your workload to meet the payroll deadlines
  • Keep up to date with any changes to statutory regulations and internal payroll processes
  • Any other duties necessary as required by the Payroll Manager

Essential Skills / Experience

  • 5 years' Payroll experience
  • Good Excel skills
  • Ability to manage their own workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A can-do attitude
