Leadership Provide leadership to teams under area of responsibility. Lead and coordinate development initiatives To have robust training, development and support plans in place for staff and to ensure that they are delivered. HR Operations Provide direction and leadership to the HR Business Partner team, alongside specialist advice. Develop, implement, and review a Just and Learning Culture strategy and delivery plan to meet the needs of the trust.

Plan and be responsible for the implementation of trust wide people policies, ensuring that they meet current and future requirements. Oversee the delivery of any resultant training for managers and staff. taking into consideration the workforce profile changes and the change in need for management and leadership development Liaise with national, regional, and local NHS leadership groups to ensure alignment with the trusts strategic agenda and to maximise the opportunities available to the trust. Responsible for the coordination, implementation, analysis, and implementation support, through the business partners, of annual operational business and staff survey action plans Foster and maintain a positive relationship with the trusts recognised trade unions and encourage partnership working between line managers HR team members and trade union representatives.

Responsible for the development of any associated policies to support employee life cycle activities and providing specialised advice on the development of relevant trust policies. HR Service Support and TWS Provide direction and leadership to the HR Service Support team and Temporary Worker Service to ensure they are meeting current trust performance requirements on a regular basis. Oversee the delivery of the proposed and future digital changes within the teams, working with the team leader to embed any significant cultural changes required. Participate in system programmes relating to the service delivery plans for these services.

To ensure the local operation of the ESR system and the supporting processes comply at all times with the principles and requirement of the Data Protection Acts. To be responsible for all aspects of the system security, with the Workforce Information Specialist and to oversee the management of an appropriate and current user population with access privileges appropriate only to their business needs. To oversee the ESR system in respect of queries and issues raised by all users and ensure that they are resolved promptly by personal direct expertise, or by filtering to alternative specialists. To act as the trusts representative at workforce informatics meetings to inform annual workforce plans.

To communicate the goals and outcomes of those meetings to the Trust, and to pursue the Trusts interests in wider system developments. To take and maintain a strategic view of the trusts medium and long term plans and offer proposals for ESR involvement to support achievement of those plans. To ensure appropriate, capable cover is provided in the absence of all Workforce Information Team members at all times. With the Director of HR & OD and working with the Workforce team, coordinate Workforce Planning on behalf of the HR function and ESR developments.

To work closely with the Finance Directorate and Payroll provider to ensure that the workforce information is effective and developed as appropriate. To ensure that ESR maintains an ongoing compatibility with the trusts eRostering solution for purposes of staff pay. Training Working with Staff Experience, Responsible for the design and provision of training that is available for all staff to access in order to maintain trust compliance targets, as well as improve their managerial skills in relation to employee life cycle events. Quality Assurance Provide direction and leadership to the governance and quality support role.

To lead the programme of compliance for the CQC, internal and external audit, NHS and other regulatory standards. To maintain oversight of the departments risk register and Board Assurance Framework (BAF). To ensure records in information relating to staff are held in accordance with the trusts information governance standards. To act as the HR lead in Information Security.
