Reporting to the the Director of Workforce, you will be joining a team of motivated professionals, dedicated to supporting the needs of over 8,500 staff.

As part of the HR senior leadership team, you will be working alongside Directors, Chiefs of Division, and colleagues across the Norfolk and Waveney Health & Social Care System. You will use your professional influence to contribute to the development and implementation of our new People & Culture Strategy, which sets an ambitious 5-year work programme for the future. You will play a pivotal role in the Digital Workforce Road Map, in automating work processes and improving access to the services most used by our staff.

**The postholder will lead the following Teams**: E-Rostering, Recruitment, ESR and Payroll, Temporary Staffing, Employee Benefits, Job Evaluation, HR Operations and Workforce Analysis.

With the introduction of two new workforce roles, the Head of Resources will be an integral member of the HR senior leadership team.

The Head of Resources is responsible for the provision of high quality strategic, and business focused human resources support and transactional services to the Trust. You will develop and deliver a strategic response to the Trust recruitment and resources challenges. You will explore and implement new and more effective methods regarding the provision of transactional services working in conjunction with colleagues within the Workforce Team, internally within the Trust and externally within the wider healthcare environment.

You will work closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering and Medical Workforce to continuously improve our People Practices in the above areas, so that we get ‘the basics’ right every time for our people

- Operationalise the People & Culture Strategy, ensuring that actions align with the organisations PRIDE values and ‘Know Your Staff Principles’, supporting the highest standard of staff experience and clinical outcomes for patients.
- Together with colleagues in Corporate HR, seek customer feedback on the effectiveness of HR advice and services provided to divisions, and support any required improvements.
- Lead on the development and implementation of Trust-wide initiatives as required by the Chief People Officer and Director of Workforce. This will include initiatives to support implementation of the NHS People Plan, the Operating Plan, workforce planning, and collaborative working with partners across the Norfolk and Waveney health and social care system, to revise the Trust’s Workforce Strategy.
- The postholder will work alongside the Head of HR Business Partnering and Medical Workforce to continuously improve our People Practices in the above areas, so that we get ‘the basics’ right every time for our people.
- The postholder will develop and deliver a strategic response to the Trust recruitment and resources challenges and will devise the annual recruitment plan.
- The postholder will take strategic responsibility for ensuring we have a Temporary Staffing service which meets the needs of our services.
