We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of HR to lead our human resources function and play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's future.


In this hands-on role, you’ll be a key partner to our leadership team, driving a people strategy that aligns with our business objectives while fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business objectives and partner with senior leaders and managers to effectively implement.
  • Review and develop effective HR procedures and policies in line with employment law and best practice guidelines to reflect business aims and focus.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism. Working closely with managers and operational board members to ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
  • Proactively addressing HR queries, providing timely and effective support to employees, and ensuring smooth resolution of issues to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Managing all HR administration activities, from maintaining accurate employee records to processing documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the business.
  • Overseeing employee benefits programs, ensuring our offerings are competitive and well-managed, while working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Overseeing our HR system to ensure records are always accurate and up-to-date, while generating insightful reports on key HR metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Overseeing recruitment strategy advising on best routes to market and using innovative recruitment methods for success in a highly competitive labour market.
  • Analysing HR and OD issues and using evidence-based practice, data and industry trends to inform decision making and create pragmatic solutions which initiate positive change.
  • Oversee talent management process and succession planning. Supporting employees to have the skills they need to work effectively to develop, motivate, engage and retain.
  • Managing TUPE transfers and harmonising of terms and culture change programmes. Ensuring organisation has people, systems and processes in place to enable scalability.


What do I need?

  • CIPD Level 7 would be highly desirable
  • Experience working in a Senior HR Role
  • Experience dealing with complex employee relations issue with up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Line management experience
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, actively involved in implementing initiatives, and passionate about driving business results through people. An instinct for taking initiative as well as working with agility
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
