Marketing Assistant (Brand Management)


Business Area: Sales & Marketing Division

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Direct Reports: None

Relationships: Sales Manager (domestic), Business Development Manager/s (commercial), Head of Customer Experience, Data Analytics & Systems Manager and Finance Manager.


Overall Function/ Objective:

Brand Management (TV, Radio, Press, sponsorship)

PR (Press, awards, thought leadership)

Event Coordination (Trade shows, events)

Reporting & Analysis


Key Responsibilities:

Brand Awareness - Implement the annual brand awareness marketing plan so we are the most considered provider by consumers and businesses in our target markets, making sure all activities remain aligned with the plan.

Brand Management - Monitor brand awareness, keeping all content within the brand guidelines and driving constant public awareness of the brand. Reporting on progress through the year.

Brand Experience – Develop TV, Radio, Press, Events and Sponsorship to reinforce our brand values and positioning in the marketplace.

ATL Advertising – Paid external representation of the business. TV, radio, and press adverts.

Agency Management – Effectively manage agencies day to day to obtain excellent results.

PR – Implement a PR plan that supports the Annual Marketing Plan. Carefully manage the PR agency to ensure that press releases are published in target media. Including all editorial placement, thought leadership, leadership team profiles, successes and award entries.

PR Capability – Ensure that the senior team are PR trained, available for comments on their subject matter area of expertise.

Campaign Coordination – Collaborate with the marketing team to successfully take brand and PR elements of campaigns from concept to success.

Event Coordination – To include all live events, both in-person and digital. Shows, expos, conferences, and webinars, etc. Plan and coordinate events, making sure all tasks are completed on time and fulfil objectives according to the Annual Marketing Plan.

Budget Management – Keeping track of all spending and return on investment.

Reporting & Analysis – Analyse data and create reports for stakeholders and shareholders of the business. Clearly depicting all performance, progress and alignment to the marketing strategy and plan.


KPI’s/Outputs:

Brand awareness/recognition tracking

Demonstrate ROI for TV, Radio, Press and brand searches via PPC

Brand consistently presented externally (design, tone of voice)


Qualifications/Skills:

Marketing Degree or equivalent experience

Experience with TV and press media advertising and working with PR and media agencies and within event management.


Salary Range/Benefits:

£30,000 Per Annum

Additional Information:

Hybrid, WFH options would be considered one day a week, typically on Wednesdays, pending manager approval. Occasional travel may be required for events.

Person Specification:

Essential:

3-5 years experience in marketing, either client or agency side.

Experience managing external agencies and budget control.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferable: Knowledge of renewable energy, managing agencies and budgets, proven experience and knowledge of marketing planning and activity management.

Marketing related degree or studying for professional qualification.
