Position: Marketing Assistant (Lead Generation)

Department: Sales & Marketing Division

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Direct Reports: None

Key Relationships: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Head of Customer Experience, Data Analytics & Systems Manager, Finance Manager.

Purpose of the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to drive lead generation through various channels including email marketing and nurturing strategies.

Engagement in digital marketing initiatives such as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and banner campaigns.

Enhancement of website performance through search engine optimization (SEO) and effective landing page design.

Conducting reporting and analysis to inform marketing strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

Annual Marketing Strategy – Execute the lead generation components of the marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Lead Generation Enhancement – Collaborate with PPC agencies to maximize the effectiveness of PPC and retargeting efforts. Ensure that online leads are seamlessly integrated into the CRM system.

Website Management – Create landing pages for marketing campaigns and optimize the website for effective calls to action, conversion funnels, and tracking mechanisms.

Search Engine Optimization – Partner with SEO agencies to ensure the website is optimized both on-page and technically, aiming for top search engine rankings. Collaborate with the Content Marketing Executive to develop relevant content.

Digital Advertising – Manage paid advertising efforts including PPC, banner ads, and social media promotions.

Campaign Management – Work with the marketing team to bring lead generation elements of campaigns from initial concept to successful execution.

Collaboration – Engage with sales and appointment teams to ensure all opportunities are effectively pursued.

Lead Nurturing – Transform cold leads into warm prospects through targeted nurturing activities, including email outreach and outbound calls. Manage lists for email campaigns and other lead generation methods.

Budget Oversight – Monitor all expenditures and assess return on investment.

Reporting & Analysis – Evaluate data and generate reports for stakeholders, clearly illustrating performance metrics, progress, and alignment with marketing strategies.

Key Performance Indicators:

Demonstrate return on investment for PPC and SEO initiatives to maximize lead generation.

Achieve cost per qualified lead targets.

Ensure website SEO is optimized for technical performance, content quality, and lead generation goals.

Qualifications/Skills:

A degree in Marketing or equivalent professional experience.

Familiarity with Google AdWords and SEO tools such as Semrush. Experience in managing PPC and SEO agencies.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary of £30,000 per annum.

25 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays.

This position offers hybrid working options, subject to managerial approval. Some travel may be required for events.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

3-5 years of marketing experience, either in-house or agency-side.

Experience in managing external agencies and overseeing budgets.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable:

Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, experience in agency management, and proven expertise in marketing planning and execution.

Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Marketing-related degree or pursuit of a professional qualification.
