Marketing Assistant (Brand Management)

Business Area: Sales & Marketing Division

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Direct Reports: None

Relationships: Collaborates with Sales Manager, Business Development Managers, Head of Customer Experience, Data Analytics & Systems Manager, and Finance Manager.

Overall Function/Objective:

The role focuses on Brand Management across various media platforms including TV, Radio, and Press, alongside sponsorship initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Brand Awareness: Execute the annual marketing strategy to enhance brand consideration among consumers and businesses in targeted markets, ensuring alignment with established plans.

Brand Management: Track brand recognition, ensuring all communications adhere to brand guidelines while fostering ongoing public awareness. Regularly report on brand performance.

Brand Experience: Create and manage content for TV, Radio, Press, Events, and Sponsorship that reflects our brand values and market positioning.

Advertising: Oversee paid media representation through TV, radio, and print advertisements.

Agency Management: Effectively coordinate with external agencies to achieve optimal results.

Public Relations: Develop and implement a PR strategy that complements the Annual Marketing Plan, managing the PR agency to ensure targeted media coverage and editorial placements.

PR Capability: Train senior team members in PR practices to ensure they are prepared for media interactions.

Campaign Coordination: Work closely with the marketing team to bring brand and PR elements of campaigns from concept to execution.

Event Coordination: Plan and manage all live events, both in-person and virtual, ensuring timely completion of tasks and alignment with marketing objectives.

Budget Management: Monitor expenditures and assess return on investment.

Reporting & Analysis: Analyze performance data and prepare reports for stakeholders, clearly illustrating progress and alignment with marketing strategies.

KPI's/Outputs:

  • Tracking brand awareness and recognition
  • Demonstrating ROI for media advertising and brand search initiatives
  • Ensuring consistent brand presentation across all external communications

Qualifications/Skills:

Possess a Marketing Degree or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience in media advertising, PR, and event management.

Salary Range/Benefits:

£30,000 Per Annum

Additional Information:

This position offers hybrid working options, subject to managerial approval.

Some travel may be necessary for event participation.

Person Specification:

Essential:

3-5 years of marketing experience, either in-house or agency.

Experience in managing external agencies and budget oversight.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferable: Knowledge of renewable energy sector, experience in agency management, and proven skills in marketing planning and execution.

Marketing-related degree or pursuit of professional qualifications.
