Key Accountabilities:

* Ensuring production operations are controlled and adequate resources allocated, in compliance with the facility safety case.
* Liaise with the TSA Facility Operator to understand and ensure adherence to governance arrangements in place for the safe delivery of operations.
* Lead the operations team, the Team Leaders, supervisors and front-line workers to deliver all operational outputs included in the Level 1 plan.
* Maintain and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
* Deputise and provide resilience support for the Group Leader Operations Manager Coulport, as required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with the Group Leader Operations Manager, Coulport to ensure the safe and secure delivery and coordination of production operations.
* Accountable to the Group Leader Operations Manager Coulport to ensure delivery of the Coulport operational programme and positively respond to changing operational circumstances with agility, as part of the Tier 2 Operations Delivery Team.
* Interface with the TSA Facility Operator to ensure the safe operation of production activities within facilities.
* Lead the implementation of an operations transformation plan which will help to reduce waste and frustration, improve lead times, provide clearer accountabilities and the ability to monitor and measure business performance.
* Produce the relevant metrics to routinely monitor performance, ensuring that the Tier 1 Operations Delivery Team have the appropriate visual management aids in place to support this.
* Attend key forums to agree and manage integrated delivery focused plans with relevant parties.
* Highlight and resolve any risks or issues that have the potential to impact the successful delivery of operations activities.
* Ensure that the operational capabilities required to meet current and future demand are defined against emerging programme requirements and fed into the strategic workforce planning model.
* Provide timely information to meet all reporting requirements associated with the delivery of the operational programme.
* Develop and manage senior stakeholder relationships within all interfacing parties.
* Ensure compliance with all site specific procedures and governance requirements in the operational areas.
* Provide constant feedback to planning to ensure agility and flexibility of operations plans.
* Ensure consistent management of performance, development, reward, career progression and succession planning across your area of responsibility.

  • Previous experience in the Defence or Nuclear Industries is preferable.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role, be flexible and able to support shifts and overtime as operations demand (which may include some evening and weekend working).

Additional requirements of the role will be provided after security clearance is achieved.
